Program Overview

Youth Muay Thai at Miller Martial Arts is a real martial arts program for kids ages 7–14, based in Bonaire, GA — taught with the same structure and standards as our adult striking program, adapted for the way kids actually learn.

Classes run three days a week and focus on the fundamentals that build complete young athletes: balance, footwork, coordination, timing, and body control. Striking technique is taught as a skill — slowly, precisely, and with an emphasis on mechanics over power.

The goal isn’t aggression. The goal is capability. Kids who train Muay Thai develop a level of physical confidence and self-control that translates into every part of their lives — on the mats and off.

Who This Is For

  • Kids and teens ages 7–14, with or without prior experience
  • Young athletes who want to build coordination, footwork, and body control
  • Kids who benefit from structured activity and clear expectations
  • Families looking for an alternative to traditional team sports

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Youth Muay Thai

What age is Youth Muay Thai for?
Youth Muay Thai is for kids and teens ages 7 to 14.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes. There’s no full-contact sparring in our youth programs. Training focuses on mechanics, control, and technique — with coaches actively managing the pace and intensity of every class.
How often does the class meet?
Youth Muay Thai meets three days a week — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday — at 4:45 PM. Each class runs 45 minutes.
Are you teaching my kid to fight?
No. We teach martial arts — which is different from teaching aggression. Kids learn discipline, body control, respect, and how to manage intensity. The skills they develop here make them more capable, not more aggressive.
Does my child need equipment to start?
Not for their first class. Comfortable athletic clothing is fine. If they continue training, the coach will guide you on what to invest in.
